Sarolaner is a potent, non-competitive antagonist of ligand-gated chloride channels in insects and arachnids:

• Targeting GABA & Glutamate: Selectively inhibits gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glutamate receptors in the parasite's nervous system.
• Over-excitation: Blocks chloride ion uptake, causing uncontrolled neuromuscular activity, paralysis, and death of fleas and ticks.
• S-Enantiomer Potency: Manufactured as the pure S-enantiomer, ensuring maximum efficacy at lower doses compared to older parasiticides.

Sarolaner is primarily used for dogs to:

• Treat and prevent flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis)
